The eye doctors and staff at Gontarek Eye Care give a heartfelt Thank You to all the military service members and families in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake and throughout Hampton Roads for all they do for our community and country.

Many of our eye care office staff are from military families and we see firsthand the sacrifices they endure and the great things they do.

To show our appreciation, Gontarek Eye Care has been a proud supporter of the Armed Services YMCA in Hampton Roads by:

• Sponsoring a table for the annual 5-Star Military Family Recognition Luncheon (3 years straight as of 2015)
• Staffing a water station for the annual Armed Services YMCA Charity Mud Run
• Donating computers for use in the enlisted free day care center

The mission of the Armed Services YMCA is to improve the quality of life for junior enlisted military personnel and their families in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake and throughout Hampton Roads by providing programs that enhance youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, resulting in a strengthened military community.

The eye doctors and office staff at Gontarek Eye Care strive to promote these same values.
