The contact lens industry has continued to grow and develop new technologies. There are newer lens materials and designs today that can provide better comfort and improved visual performance than their predecessors. Contact Lens Accessibility

The accessibility of contact lenses today has made many people less aware of the risks and responsibilities of contact lens wear. Our eye doctors and staff take the time to educate our patients, existing and new wearers alike, in the proper wear and care of contact lenses.

Medically Necessary Contact Lenses

There are certain ocular conditions in which a patient will actually see significantly better with contact lenses than with eyeglasses. For example, patients with keratoconus or patients who have had a corneal transplant, often have an irregular ocular surface. This irregular surface may prevent full vision correction with eye glasses. In these cases, specialty, custom designed lenses can often be fitted to provide optimal visual acuity for the patient.
